I wonder if Marjorie Blake or someone local knows of an ancester of mine called Elisabeth Scottow. She was born in 1758 and died aged 78 on 3 April 1826. She married a John Farrow on December 24 1772 and John and Elisabeth are buried at North Erpingham.

IN 1841 MY GREAT-GREAT GRANDFATHER JAMES KIRK WAS LIVING IN MIDDLETHATCH , WHITCHURCH GATE WITH HIS WIFE ELIZABETH AND SIX CHILDREN RANGING IN AGE FROM 15 TO 2 YEARS. EARLIER THIS YEAR WE HAD THE GREAT PLEASURE OF SPEAKING TO THE PRESENT OWNERS OF THE COTTAGE. THANKYOU FOR ALLOWING US TO LOOK AROUND TE ESTATE AND REVIVE OLD MEMORIES OF YESTERYEAR.
IT WOULD HAVE BEEN BOUT OCT/NOV 1941 WHEN W CAME AS A FAMILLY AND STAYED WITH MRS RAYMENT.
AS A 6/7YR OLD I HAVE VERY FOND MEMORIES OF THE TIME WE SPENT THERE.HELPING MR SMYTH MILK THE COWS ETC,GETTING THE LOGS IN FOR THE FIRES,GOING TO SCHOOL IN THE VILLAGE.
THE CHRISTMAS OF 41 WAS SO GOOD,I REMEMBER SWOLOWING A SILVER THREEPENNY PEICE,I NEVER DID FIND IT.
IT WAS SO GOOD TO SEE THE HOUSE AND ADENS LOOKING SO NICE.
THANKYOU ONCE AGAINFO ALLOWING US TO LOOK AROUND.

WE COME TO HEACHAM AT LEAST ONCE A YEAR, AROUND SEPTEMBER NORMALLY. WE JUST LOVE THE AREA, THE FRIENDLY PEOPLE, OH AND OF COURSE THE DUCKS. WE HAVE VISITED AND LOT OF AREAS IN THE UK, BUT WE#39RE ALWAYS DRAWN BACK TO HEACHAM.
